About ProLite Sports
ProLite Sports has been part of pickleball’s evolution since 1984, making it one of the oldest paddle brands in the sport. The company created the first composite pickleball paddle using aerospace honeycomb paneling and fiberglass, pioneered by founder Steve Paranto and his father, a Boeing engineer.
Now owned by Greg Grant and Neil Friedenberg, ProLite continues to assemble paddles in New Berlin, Wisconsin. The company lives by the philosophy “Be a leader, not a follower” and is known for its community involvement, donating to schools, veterans programs, Alzheimer’s research, and breast cancer awareness initiatives.
