About Bread & Butter Pickleball
Bread & Butter Pickleball was founded in 2022 by Doug Sapusek as a family business with a passion for the game. The brand quickly gained attention for its bold naming conventions and unique identity in a market dominated by corporate paddle manufacturers.
In May 2026, Bread & Butter was acquired by Selkirk Sport, one of the biggest names in pickleball. The acquisition brought Bread & Butter’s creative paddle designs under the Selkirk umbrella while maintaining the brand’s distinctive personality and loyal following.
